What follows are vintage items found in Poppa's Country Museum. Click on each photo for the larger format.
 


 


 

1923 FORD MODEL T TOURING CAR - Purchased from an individual in Baldwyn, Mississippi. Car can be traced from West Memphis, Arkansas to Memphis in 1951. Then it went somewhere in Alabama and then to Baldwyn.

 
1923 FORD MODEL T TRUCK - Poppa purchased truck in Moorhead, Mississippi (his birthplace). The seller purchased the truck from a junk yard for his boys. It had no cab, fenders, bed, water pump or spokes. Poppa looked a few pictures and reconstructed it. He notes, "A fun truck."
 
 
1941 B MODEL JOHN DEERE TRACTOR - Owned by C.T. Smith, Poppa's father, who purchased it new from Greenville, Mississippi Equipment Company in 1941. Poppa's father farmed with the tractor in Shaw, Mississippi and Ackerman.

1950 FARMALL 140 - Purchased from Smokey Oswalt who had purchased it from John K. Stephenson of Ackerman.


 
1936 ERR. 3/4 HP FAIRBANKS MORSE HOPPER COOLED ENGINE - Purchased in Winona, Mississippi.


 
1936 1 1/2 HP ECONOMY ENGINE - Sold by Sears Roebuck & Company. Purchased in Winona, Mississippi.


 
GASOLINE PUMP - 10 Gal. FRY - When new it was a Gulf pump. It came from Weaver Oil Company of Ackerman who later became a Texaco distributor. Purchased from Prentiss Irving.
